Face mask initiative sending masks with Indigenous designs to remote First Nations

Tyson Wesley recently started his Indigenous Face Masks initiative. By partnering with representatives in Kashechewan, Fort Albany or Attawapiskat First Nations, he is donating a child's mask for every mask he sells through his website to these communities, where access can be limited. He is from Kashechewan First Nation and is currently based in Ottawa. The masks are also a celebration of Indigenous art: Wesley says that, "when a kid wears our mask in the community, they're showcasing our art, a celebration of our culture at the same time." He hopes to expand the initiative by partnering with other Indigenous communities.
