Pits Qimirpik (Kooyoo; Qimrqpik; Pitseolak) Drum Dancer Pits Qimirpik (also known as "Pitsiula")was born on January 17th 1967, on Baffin Island situated in the Northwest Territories. Pits presently lives in Iqaluit and has also lived in Lake Harbour. His adoptive parents are Nuyaliaq and Annie Qimirpik.They are also carvers living in Lake Harbour. Like many Inuit artists, Pits draws his inspiration from Arctic wildlife as well as the human form..
