17.25" x 19.25" — 43.8 x 48.9 cm.; 16" x 20" — 40.6 x 50.8 cm.

Literature:
William Ritchie, “The Modern Atelier,” printed in “Cape Dorset Prints, A Retrospective, Fifty Years of Printmaking at the Kinngait Studios”, p age 226.

Note:
“The Nascopie was a Hudson’s Bay Company resupply ship that sank, ... just outside the community in 1947. The ship broke its back on the reef but stayed high and dry long enough for people in the community to strip it before it sank. So it was a great resource. People went back and back again as long as they could and took everything salvageable from the ship. It was a treasure trove, and Napachie is the only artist to have drawn it.”

Estimate: $500—700
