Robert Ridley
Haida
(1855-1934)
Robert Ridley is best known for his model totem poles, canoes, feast spoons, masks, and houses. Though he specialized in models, Ridley also created at least two large-scale totem poles, one of which was raised between 1941 and 1945 in Thunderbird Park, Victoria after his death and another for the Capilano suspension bridge in North Vancouver.
